As Lutherans, we confess the historic Christian faith taught in Scripture. We also confess the Book of Concord, that is our confessions, because it is a faithful and true exposition of Scripture. It acts as a binding commitment to the Lutheran confessions because it aligns perfectly with Scripture, ensuring doctrine is taught truthfully and accurately.
This means we believe:
Christ is at the center of all Scripture.
God forgives sins freely because of Jesus.
Baptism is a gracious gift through which God works faith and gives new life.
In the Lord’s Supper, Christ truly gives His body and blood for the forgiveness of sins.
We hold the Lord’s Supper in such high esteem and reverence that we ask if you are not a member, to speak with the pastor first so that you may understand what it is that is happening during this most blessed Sacrament
1 Corinthians 11:28-29 – “Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.”
Worship is centered on God serving His people through Word and Sacrament.
Our worship is reverent, Christ-centered, and rooted in the historic liturgy of the Christian Church. Through Scripture readings, preaching, prayer, hymns, and the Sacraments, God comes to bless His people with forgiveness, life, and salvation.
We are a small rural congregation that values faithful preaching, genuine fellowship, and caring for one another in Christian love. We believe the Church should be a place where people hear the truth clearly, receive Christ’s mercy freely, and grow together in faith.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” ~ Hebrews 10:24-25
We would love to meet you, answer your questions, and welcome you to worship with us.
You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to church. Christ’s invitation is for sinners, the weary, the doubting, and all who seek His grace.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
